Whopping baby boy I was not!
When I was delivered, I was rushed to the ICU of the S.C.B.U. (Special Care Baby Unit), where they conducted tests and placed me on a life support machine. My Mom & Dad spent the next 2 1/2 hours fretting, when at last they let them see me, and nothing on this world had prepared them for what they saw.
I was in a glass tank, having tubes and wires everywhere, and all that stood between my life and death was the machines.
I did not look like a normal child, all bouncy and bonny, but I looked almost like an alien, and my chest was so small, my Mom's finger covered the entire area. My Mom and Dad spent many hours sat next to my incubator, watching the machines feed me, and breathe for me. They were able to do some care, a cotton bud, with sterilised water around my tiny chapped lips, and a nappy/diaper so small it looked like it would just fit a Barbie doll.

More about me
I was 10 days old before my Mom could finally hold me for the first time, and my Mom was almost scared of me, this small defenceless bundle, seems strange now. My Mom said "A mother's bond, is formed at birth, but when you know that for your child to survive, you need others to keep him alive, is a big thing when you are a new parent".
I remained in I.C.U. until a week before I came home. We had Christmas in the Hospital, and New Year, and finally on the 9th of January I was allowed home.
So much has happened since then, go through my site, as mom is finally updating now that I am 3 and half years old
